  • Isn't he kinda burying the lead here?! Shouldn't the headline read, "1 serving a day of orange juice increases risk of skin cancer 60%!!!!

  • Serious question : I candy my fruit peels by first blanching them then boiling and reducing in a sugar bath. Does this boiling process negate the health benefits from eating the peels?

Thank you so much for being who you are!!!

  • Kinda sped past the, "Drinking orange juice is associated with a 60% increase in risk of skin cancer" part.  That sounds like a pretty important thing!  WTF?!?!?!?!?

  • Hi doctor, I am a vegan and part time marijuana smoker. Would you be able to do a video about the leading body of research about the benefits, if any, of marijuana consumption? Would be very interesting to see. I bring this up in light of the fact that there is tons of opposing marijuana information out there it is hard to figure out what is most accurate. I am also not a scientist.

  • Dr. Greger, I am curious about the last statement in which you say orange juice can actually be related to an elevated risk in Melanoma. Can you explain that a little more? If you're eating the whole fruit, are you not as well consuming all the juice in it that would have been found in pure orange juice? I love both orange juice as well as the entire orange! However, should I stop drinking a beverage I thought was priorly healthy? Thank you for these amazing videos, and for showing people the amazing world of Veganism! <3

  • Ok. So I developed anorexia a little over 2 years ago. It didn't get too severe before I realized that I had a problem and needed to stop. I found out about the vegan plant based lifestyle and started focusing on what I ate instead of how much I ate. It was amazing. I felt so much better and was able to gain back the weight I needed. I have been a vegan for about 2 years now. But around February of this year some rough things happened and I relapsed into my eating disorder I was still vegan though. Well I ended up in a hospitalization program to treat my eating disorder. My dietician does not approve of my vegan diet and says that all the literature points to it being unhealthy. I've watched many of your videos and speeches on YouTube and know that this is not true. I've been told that until they're confident that I will not return to a vegan diet, I will not be released from treatment. How do I show my dietician that vegan diet is actually very healthy and beneficial?

  • interesting….. in asia we have orange peel candy, literaly an orange peel aged and sugarized…. does eating that count for the health benefit?
please reply i realy wanna know the answer

  • Bitterness = Cancer killers
Ever tried an apricot seed or reishi mushroom? They are known to protect and destroy cancer cells and are extremely bitter as many other medicinal foods in nature the more bitter the more anti-cancer they seem to be or more stronger medicine in general.

  • I consume orange peel daily. Easy. I drop a small (cutie) orange into my smoothie, peel and all. Two smoothies a day, so two small oranges, peel and all, per day. (Wash thoroughly before dropping it in). Been doing this for over a year and it hasn't killed me yet. 🙂

  • I know this won't be "popular" on here but I follow a low card "keto" style diet which works great for me. I do have berries in moderation but was recently diagnosed with Lyme and in addition to a ACV, ginger, turmeric & stevia concoction I drink daily I'm now detoxing with a mineral blend, lime, ginger and vanilla grass feed beef protein mix. My question is, can you soak or ingest just the peel of citrus fruits for the health benefits?

  • I'd say eating the whole orange is 100 times better and more effective than juicing it, or even worse, buying conventional store-bought orange juice. When you buy oranges, make sure you are getting them organic and free of pesticides, preferably from a local farmers market.
