  • LOL this is so wrong. Glycation end products, diabetes, cancer, epilepsy, hormone imbalance all treated, reversed, AND cured with The Ketogenic Diet aka pre-agricultural diet aka hunter gatherer diet. Not to be confused with Adkins diet this diet is about low carbs and high fat at the same time. Don't believe me? check for yourself before agriculture rice was for the birds and guess what? it still is sorry to burst your bubble but this makes people sick period

  • I've never really been into taking supplements for working out, but I'm moving to Miami so I knew I had to step up my game. I've been focusing more on my diet and workout regime all summer so I can measure up in the beach scene but needed an extra boost.   • I went vegan in April, I've lost 2 stone since… I eat a whole food diet and exercise 3 to 4 times a week.

    I feel great and it's the best decision I ever made. I am ashamed to say that before I went vegan I tried a low carb paleo diet… Yes I lost "weight" but I know now that it was most probably water weight that I lost. I had to come off the diet because I ended up suffering with severe depression for about 6 months… and guess what…when I stopped the diet I put on more weight than what I had started at. Cue more depression. Then I stumbled upon the idea of veganism. first I thought it was extreme but then when I started learning more and more about it I didn't see any reason not to give it a try. I mean I'd tried everything else so what have I got to lose!? So happy I did it I feel like my life has changed for the better. 3 months in to this lifestyle and I am never going back 🙂 I initially did it for health reasons (I know that is selfish) but since I changed my lifestyle I also learnt about the cruelty towards animals and I am so happy that I am no longer funding the industries that harm them. And I am helping the environment…. I don't understand why everyone isnt vegan!!!

  • This is very interesting 🙂 I've tried the potato diet, banana Island diet etc and found the rice diet (asian Life style) and rice is so far, the ONLY food that doesn't make me feel sugary, light headed or aching hungry after two hours…instead I fell satiated and full, getting very nice skin tone (THANK YOU LORD!!) AND loosing weight…coming from food addiction and allergies, this is a relief….:) ♥so I will continue eating like an asian folk ♥

  • I've never understood why he called it the "rice" diet when more than half the calories came from table sugar. Why? There is no way of getting protein under 20 grams on his normal 2,000 calorie diet unless you load the diet with sugar. Of course he had a 2nd diet for weight loss which was very low calorie (800/1200 calories) which might be better called the rice diet.

  • A lot of these comments ignorantly assume that the obese person is actually aware of their options. Studies routinely show that the vast majority of people, obese or not, are unaware of good nutrition. If a layperson goes to get help from an expert and that person tells them the answer is surgery, you cannot reasonably think that its their responsibility to make a scientifically informed choice. The SURGEON isnt even making an informed choice. Not everyone has the same access to accurate, sound information. There's no need to continue judging the choices of obese people as if they know everything you do.

  • Using stats about WLS from as far back as 1987 is incredibly misleading. In the last decade the surgeries have become far safer – safer than joint replacement surgeries and about as safe as gallbladder removal. I'm so thankful for your book, website, and these videos, but I hope you understand that some of us were so far into severe obesity by the time we discovered this information that just dietary changes alone aren't enough. I'm 220 lbs overweight and having WLS in a few weeks. Currently transitioning to a plant-based diet, of course! And obviously most overweight people in America can reverse their obesity with diet, not surgery. So, your point is taken. But please don't use misleading (basically false) information to demonize surgery for those of us who really need it. Thank you Dr. Greger!

  • My dad once told me that when he was young he had chronic ear infections so his doctor used gamma radiation to kill the infection. OMG what we're people thinking poking around in brains like this back in the 50s and 60s.

  • My pal informed me about a diet regime “fetching tuti space” (Google it) and how he lost 14 lbs through it! I`ve tried other diet programs with no sustainable results. But, with this one, the extra weight just is removed.

  • I hope in the near future of human civilization that constantly worrying about one's weight is a thing of the past. I can absolutely identify with the people who threatened suicide. It's the worst thing in the world to feel like you're not in control of your body after trying every diet under the sun or people telling you that you shouldn't eat because you're so fat. You never lose that inner fat person, but eventually you learn to love the outside as much as the inside. Even more important for a person of near healthy weight to adopt a WFPB diet because they don't have the same societal pressure to change their eating habits (for the most part) while overweight individuals are immediately judged for every morsel they put in their mouths.
