  • We want antioxidants, but we also want to breathe deeply to oxygenate the cells, right? I'm also hearing that it's good to drink diluted forms of food grade H2O2 to help raise oxygen in the blood. So, which is it? Should I breathe more shallowly and eat more blueberries to increase my longevity, or what?

    Praised be Yahweh that all ingredients necessary are in the plant world, Even the Bible says the world was vegan up until Noah’s Ark, and while the world was vegan, human lifespan was dramatically longer, beyond 100yrs of age ☺️☺️☺️

  • what is the fructose limit? I know Japan has recommended people stick to 2 fruit servings a day, (and their country has the longest lifespan in the developed world) ☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️

  • At 1:39 it looks like a couple of radishes would be good too, so if you have blueberries with your morning oatmeal, a few radishes with lunch or dinner would keep the anthocyanin benefits going.

  • Does anybody know if he has a video on memory. Im only 18 and have horrible memories. I’ve heard dha/aha help so I’ve been taking vegan vitamins and eating flax every day. Also I use those apps that are supposed to improve memory. I never ate seafood growing up so is the damage done already? Or is it because of something else?

  • Mes parents ont vécu dans un environnement où les bleuets sauvages sont en quantité illimité et sans frais puisqu'on les cueille nous-même. Ils en ont mangé depuis leur tout jeune âge. Ils ont été actifs toute leur vie. Ma mère a eu tous les problèmes de santé que pourtant les bleuets devraient protéger : démence, maladie auto-immune, cholestérol élevé, dépression, etc. et décédée à 82 ans très malade. Mon père a aussi mangé des bleuts plusieurs fois par semaine toute sa vie. Il a été moins attentif à son alimentation en mangeant des tartes au sucre, des beignes, du beurre, des viandes grasses, du sel et un digestif ou deux tous les soirs et il est passé 90 ans et tjs actif et en forme. Pas facile à comprendre des fois!

    Id like to know what your thoughts are on the blue zones?

    All the blue zones ate 95% + plant based, and beans, greens and starch were at the forefront of their diets. There was no ketosis, 65%+ was carbohydrate. These people are renowned for being the healthiest and longest lived populations in the world.

    This whole carnivore, plants are bad mentality just doesn’t make any sense to me.

    However I am vegan but I am personally starting to think that a 100% plant based diet isn’t optimal. From looking into the blue zones it seems that a 95% plant based diet with the addition of an egg 2 – 4 times a week and fish or meat once a week could be the answer to why a lot of people can’t sustain a vegan diet?

    But yeah, I’m keen to know what you all make of this?


  • Hey… just to let you know.. I have genetic high cholesterol, I m 34 and high activity level.. could t lower my cholestherol . From the summer time I have frozen 20kg bio blueberries and eating about 400grams each week and susprisingly all my cholesherol fractions went down by 35% I was extremly shocked

  • I am a keto heavy meat eater. I eat lots of pasture raised chuck roast and fat. Along with 5 servings of nuts per day. I really dislike most of Dr. G's content as I think most of it is actually wrong, and his studdies are usually weak and dont compliment each other. However this one was different. I will have to go to the studdies themselves and take a look at how they were designed and what their full results were, but I was impressed at the free radical protection of blueberries, although much less so with the insulin sensitivity.

  • Unfortunate downsides to berries: the commercial varieties are said to be high in pesticides (members of the "dirty dozen"), and almost all berries these days are sold in plastic packaging, which should be avoided for the benefit of all.

  • It is now time to respond to the fast “unhealthy” food industry and it's franchises. This can be led by the MDs and other professions who so eloquently explain the reason it is needed.

    I envision such a response would use the McDonald's playbook starting with its golden arches. Instead of arches a giant silver V would be underlined with the franchise name: Whofoplaba (short for Whole Food Plant Based). It would serve both take-out and dine-in. 
    A super salad bar offering no less than 25 vegies would be the centerpiece. Of course it would include nuts and seeds. The menu would range from raw broccoli and cauliflower with a wide choice of hummus dip to cooked rice and beans, steamed vegetables, varieties of starches including baked potatoes. To round out the menu selections choices can be made from the many vegan recipes created and already published. A highlight would be where customers could request customized personal plates. 

    A bonus for customers would be their opportunity to purchase many of the Whofoplaba books available.
    McDonalds is successful because it bought the land upon which it built the structure. Thus it had absolute control of what was offered and how it was managed, else the franchisee would be have to go.

    Iam also asking the vegan community to offer your support as future customers. On March 1, 2019 I start my third year as a vegan. Two years ago I was obese, had diabetes and high blood pressure. After watching the youtube videos of most of those listed above, I am no longer obese and do not have high blood pressure or diabetes. I am 78 years of age and hope to make it to 100.

  • I'm still wondering about the effects of protein on the antioxidant power of blueberries though. You released a video saying the casein protein in yogurt binds to the anthocyanins, thus rendering them useless, but what about other proteins, like soy or pea protein? Do these proteins have a similar effect? Do berries have to be eaten by themselves to be effective?

  • Thanks! I have blueberries on my organic oatmeal every day. Fresh from my garden when in season. Corn flakes are not particularly "sugary," Doc. 3g of sugars. A small ear of corn has more. Frosted Flakes would be another story at 10g per serving.

  • Holey schamoley! Why isn't this research commonly known? I mean, out there it seems like the whole diet thing is still a mystery, and people think all kinds of crazy things are true. But the science behind it seems to be pretty well understand, and has been around for a crazy long time! What's the deal?!?
