I love this Healthy Chia Banana Breakfast Bowl, it is one of my favourite breakfasts! So nutritious and delicious. It's made from all-organic ingredients. This makes 2 serves, but if you want to make more just multiply the quantity of the ingredients.
4 ripe bananas
6 cups filtered water
4 tbs chia seeds
2 tbs raw honey
And seasonal you can add blueberries and/or strawberries.
1. To make the jelly:
I prefer to mix the chia seeds and the filtered water in a 500 ml airtight jar. Stir the mixture, let it sit for a few minutes, then stir again. Once you made your chia jelly, put it in the fridge and let it sit a few hours, or preferably overnight, so the chia seeds can absorb the full amount of water. (They soak up 10 times their weight in water.) Before using the chia jelly, give it another good shake.
2. Slice two bananas to each portion.
3. Add the chia seed jelly.
4. Top it with raw honey.
I love to add Ceylon cinnamon and coconut chips.
Mix it and enjoy!
